To ensure that the Foundation supports the most appropriate projects, each application for funds is tested against five specific criteria.

 

Criteria for approval
 

General principles
To receive financial support from the Foundation, the overarching qualification is that funds should be used to promote the education (including social and physical training) of children and young adults living in the Borough of Kettering.
 

Qualifying projects
Each application is tested against the following criteria:
  • Difference - would the project happen without the Foundation's support?
  • Leverage - will the Foundation's support bring in extra resources from elsewhere?
  • Sustainability - will the activity continue without the Foundation's ongoing support?
  • Need - will a student or group of students be unable to pursue worthwhile study or training because of financial hardship?
  • Excellence - will academic and other talents be developed as a result of the Foundation's intervention?
